Immortal Thor...dies
For reference that's True Form God of Stories Loki, backstabbing him with what was the substance and spirit of Eternity forged into the Bane of All Kings. And Thor is the All-King.
It's a mask from the first Marvel comic, made to take the power of kings, i.e., Arthur of Camelot, and give it to the common folk. With it, the Average Joe can match the cosmic entities.
Until it was shaped into a murder weapon by Loki, who in their regular God of Stories aspect sniped the Elder God of Kings/King of Elder Gods - only weapon that could do it.

Checks out. It heralds what's probably the most famous Norse myth.

Not so immortal after all
@rajjarsalt: Thanks.
Eh, it won’t be permanent. The story has been good. A good showing of the layers of Thor’s journey of becoming a proper king of Asgard who needs to think with his head more instead of his hammer.
Thus, the struggles and triumphs are both highlighted. Al Ewing was good for fleshing Thor out in his All-Father form.

No super hero ever die permanently.
Marvel needing money means they have to live... and suffer, even if they would rather die lol

Isnt Thanos supposed to kill thor.
That got settled a couple issues back (20-21)

@rajjarsalt: dont think that was the real thanos was it? Also im referring to his vision in Cates run
@rajjarsalt: just read those issues ,seems like its a cop out as that vision was suppsed to lead to a huge event, Thanos just made the death stone
I would like for Thor to come back without OF & just be regular shmegular Thor with his own standard power. No Blake or anyone else just blond haired Thor. But it looks like someone else will inherited his power & hide it while hunting Roxxon based on the synopsis.
Ewing likes to deconstruct & it seems he's not done deconstructing Thor.
@cull_obsidian: Naw, it was All-Death in the guise of Thanos. Skurge could not see him because he hadn't earned him yet, and his prune chin turns into a skull jaw at the end.
