Is this actually canon to either tho.

It would be indeed crazy if you take "most epic cosmic throwdowns I've ever written" at face value
But there is some explanation for it.
The Hand's resurrection stuff is excellent parallel to vengeful souls of Japan's victims raising up GMK

Seems it takes place because of and after his Punisher run
@frozen: Seems like this will be tonally different from the rest of the line as well. Even ignoring that it's a very distinct version of Godzilla, just look at the mf's tail.
I'm noticing the environment, it seems the war between god and zilla will take them to the realms of Norse mythology. There ain't no way that full page shot is on Earth.

This one seems to not be canon if they actually use GMK. Godzilla vs X-Men, F4, Hulk, and Spider Man all reference 616 comics and the past Godzilla Comics. Like Godzilla vs Spider Man directly reference Godzilla vs Hulk.
So I dont understand how Godzilla vs Thor is magically the only comic of the line not canon to the others at all, unless the idea is they want to make Marvel Godzilla already dead by 2010s and resurrected in the same fashion/design as GMK rather than a direct GMK version.

Seems to be canon given the premise of the story is because of
As in, Godzilla's the Hand's next direction after their encounter with Punisher.
