MCU Sentry potential power tier placement

High end- Thanos/Carol tier

Mid end- Destroyer/America Chavez/Ikaris/Shang Chi tier

Low end- Jobbing Strange/Namor/Whiplash tier

Most likely around Thor and Carol tier.

Not particularly on Thor/Carol level. Looking at the street tiers that's are in the movie i don't think they will make him that powerful, Sentry in comic was not Hulk/Thor tier (WWH) basically below them, unless it's is Void sentry, who will be above them(The siege). In the MCU, characters tends to grew more in power as the character shows up in next movie proceeded not just all of a sudden. Like look at Thor~Awaken Thor/prime, Carol~Binary and Adam warlock (James gunn words would eventually ) they all kept getting improved till they reach thier Full potential. So, in my opinion in this movie i don't think he should be classified as high tier.

Sentry is a character that is almost entirely in his own head. He can be the most powerful person on the planet or just another guy depending on his mental state.

Not entirely sure why you think he isn't WWH or Thor tier when he has literally gone up against those characters and did fine. He is also famous for holding back against most people ( he specifically states it in the WWH fight ).

OT: Given what we know, this will not only be an unstable sentry, but a sentry that is just getting his powers and thus probably not all that familiar with them. Also... remember that Red Hulk is going to be in the movie, so... not exactly all "street tiers". Its also probably not a coincidence that they randomly brought Hulk's son into the mix at the end of She-Hulk... clearly setting the stage for some version of WWH.

Also the MCU is power scaling up in general. Pretty much every new character has to be pretty powerful just to be relevant. With the fallout of Captain Marvel, and the phasing out of most of the other "big guns", its likely Sentry will be established as one of if not the strongest hero. He gets around a ton of the problems the universe has. They can make him as powerful as they want, and still have good reason for him not to solve all of the problems other MCU characters come across.

His nemesis are super soldier/humans so he’s obviously not going to be anywhere near Thor or Carol. I’ll say a jobbing Ironman level

That and apparently from the leaks, the void in the mcu will actually be like a gateway to a void that the thunderbolts can enter rather than a malevolent entity, so I dont know that's going to make him more powerful or not.

Might end up around Adam Warlock level considering who he's facing off against

so basically no actual feats (just "leaks" from random people) and all hyperbolics while being in a street-tier team? Sounds like this thread shouldn't exist until we know his actual feats.

@darkphantom9895: I assume they mean Superman level in relation to power set and standing in verse. Which would be generally high tier I suppose. The average leaker probably thinks far higher of Superman than a battle boarder on comic vine.

Based on the trailer, he seems to be bulletproof, I think he’s likely the one that gets Yelena, John etc out the facility.

I hope they don't nerf him and that he doesnt lose to the thunderbolts
