Introduction
Optimus Primal is the leader of the Maximals and Captain of the exploration ship the Axalon. As with all Maximals, Primal is a descendant of the Autobots, having been named after the original Optimus Prime. After receiving an alert, he would lead his crew in a pursuit of a fugitive ship, led by the Predacon, Megatron, and his band of criminals, with both ships eventually traveling through a transwarp portal across time and crash landing on a primitive planet. Primal would go on to lead the Maximals against the Predacons in a conflict that would become known as the “Beast Wars.”
Powers and Abilities
Being leader of the Maximals, Primal is naturally strong and skilled, with his beast mode being a gorilla, having chosen the form for its power. As with all Transformers, Primal has the ability to transform into an alternate mode.
