I’ve been using the API to add metadata to my ComicRack library, and it’s been very useful. I’ve also found a few things in my collection which weren’t on here, so I’ve been able to contribute info on these, which has been nice.

However, I have a number where I’m not sure if they “deserve” to be on here.

The Clock #3-4

This 2020 miniseries was cancelled with only two of its four issues published. The only way to read the full story was in the TPB published later the same year.

...until 2022, when The Clock was included in the Humble Comics Bundle: Top Cow's 30th Anniversary.

For whatever reason, Top Cow/Image didn’t just send Humble a digital copy of the TPB, but instead the individual issues #1-4. I guess they dusted off the files they’d prepared back in 2020 when they were expecting to release them normally. #3 has an indicia with an anticipated May 2020 release date, while #4 just has a big empty space at the bottom of its title/credits page.

Does this not count as them being released? The publisher sold them officially, even if it was only for the three weeks that bundle was on offer. Over 4,000 people bought the bundle during that time. The Clock was in the second-cheapest tier, so a good chunk of those buyers would’ve got this release.

Overall, that feels at least comparable to other releases with a brief sales window like a convention exclusive or ashcan preview.

Magical Package: Lilaca

A print and digital TPB/GN, published by AAM/Markosia: https://markosia.com/magical-package-lilaca/

I actually tried to submit this one recently, and was surprised when it was rejected with no stated reason. Is it just not notable enough to be included here?

Doctor Who: In-Between Times

This was another bundle exclusive, released in the Humble Comics Bundle: Doctor Who 2018.

This bundle sold over 8,000 times, though In-Between Times (labelled as The First Doctor exclusive) was only available in the top tier, so not all of the buyers would’ve got this item. It was given a wide release later the same year as part of the Operation Volcano TPB.

Kaz Rowe’s digital comics

Kaz Rowe is a creator selling their digital comics through Gumroad such as He Lives in the Echoes and The Resurrectionist.

I can see that self-published comics are allowed, but I just wanted to see if there’s any kind of notability threshold for adding these to the wiki; coverage in news articles, award nominations, notable creators, etc.?

EDITED TO ADD:

Dynamite’s Terminator HB TPBs

Another couple of bundle exclusives here, this bundle is still available for a couple of days at time of writing. Dynamite are currently offering recently offered the Humble Comics Bundle: Terminator 40th Anniversary (I promise I’m not sponsored by HB, I just buy a lot of comic bundles there). It contains digital TPBs of various old Dark Horse and NOW Terminator comics.

Most of these have previously been collected as TPBs by Dark Horse back when they held the Terminator licence. However, a couple seem to have never had standalone, single-volume releases.

The Dark Years is a four-issue miniseries, which has been collected into DH’s 2008 Omnibus 2 and one of Dynamite’s own (recent? upcoming?) 40th anniversary bumper collections (I presume the bundle exists to promote the latter). However, it doesn’t seem to have ever had a standalone collected edition until this bundle.

Suicide Run is a 10-page story from Dark Horse Presents #138, so that’d obviously be far too short to release as a TPB. The version Dynamite put in the bundle is presented as a standalone graphic novel (novella?).
