Adding Variant Covers

So...how does one add variant covers to an existing comic page? I see the tab where I can add a new comic cover below the image, but it doesn't add nor replace the comic cover for the book.

add /images to the end of the issue url and then you can do it from there.

Yeah, as Plexirvones said, we are forced to used /images at the end of the url, as the alternate image upload has been broken for a year now.

Actually I just tried to add a superior cover to Savage Sword of Conan 126 by using the /images addition to the URL. First, I need to add from my desktop so after doing this I generated a URL from the new pic thumbnail which was https://comicvine.gamespot.com/the-savage-sword-of-conan-126-the-mercenary/4000-135241/wiki/edit/incomplete#/images

It still didn't work. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Is there some text from the URL that needs to be deleted first? I could add better images to all of SSOC once I can figure this out. Thanks.
