Time is a rare commodity and even harder to command. But for such individuals like Ohno, time is more of a game of pool. You never know the outcome, but if skilled enough, you can walk away with a clean table. But for a guy like Ohno, time plays him like ping pong, always smacking him back and forth over the same net. For when ever something goes wrong, even on a microscopic level, should time wish, he gets a warning. Much like a song stuck in your head or a tickle in your throat, he gets this feeling that something has gone wrong, and he needs to fix it. To make it worse this 6th sense only gives him a limited knowledge of the problem, usually just names and faces. It’s up to him to figure it out and make the corrections. On this occasion, as Ohno was resting on a planet in the Altara system, soaking up some red rays, a hoard of images raced through his head. Visions from the planet Earth many years ago raced by, mixed with visions of a young heroin named Paragon, and a act of violence. Unfortunately he did not know exactly what it was or even when, but after the images flashed by, he was left with one name….Keira Knight and a current location where she could be found!!

Keira may have thought today would be just another day, but soon it would be far from that. As she stood there doing what comes naturally to her, she could hear the words “Keira, is that you?” echo from behind. Should she turn to investigate, no one would be there. Yet again she would hear the words, “That is you, Right?” just as clear as everything else around her. Suddenly a large black hole would open up in front of her and the top half of a pail white man covered in moving black spots would slowly poke through. Waving his hand sporadically, he addresses her in a squeaky voice, “You are Keira Knight, the Paragon?” followed by an ever awkward “I hope that’s you or I’ve made another big mistake.” He then fully pops out of the black hole and stands before her, as he does his best to pretend that all this is rather normal. Despite how weird this may seem. I know me popping in on you is not what you would consider normal, but I don’t wish you any harm!” Then after a short pause he hopes will calm her down, he finishes with, “But you have to listen to me!”

Standing confident but concerned he goes on, “Something in your past that occurred is a black mark in time and needs to be repaired.” Sensing a little distrust he continues, “It’s nothing big or Earth shattering but will have future negative consequenceson your life.” He smiles through the ever changing black spots on his face, “And I’m here to help you change it!” Realizing this is nowhere enough to convince a woman like Keira Knight he tries to explain in a better way, Sadly I’m not a hundred percent sure what it was but I’m betting you do. And if you are worried about all that changing time crap, don’t worry. Your black mark in time is so small, it’s like side pockets in pool, there there but people prefer corner pockets. In other words if we change whatever your mark was, the change to the time line should be minimal!” Still realizing either doubt or distrust in her, he finally plays his last card. “Here,” he says as he extends his hands palm out, “Just touch my hands and you will see what I’m talking about!” Should she touch, them visions of her past, the same ones Ohno saw, would race through her mind, perhaps with more meaning as she had lived them. But none the less she would see enough vision to believe in Ohno, unless she believes him to be planting them in her mind!

@ohno:

As Keira navigated the tranquil waters aboard her cozy cabin boat, equipped with provisions to endure weeks at sea, a voice disrupted the serene solitude from behind her.

“Keira, is that you?”

Spinning on instinct, Keira finds herself confronted by an unseen presence, shrouded in the cloak of mystery. Though no figure stands before her, a voice echoes through the air, inquiring if she is the one he seeks. Once more, Keira remains silent, her gaze fixed upon the enigmatic stranger who materializes before her, adorned in garments as curious as their sudden appearance, offering a greeting with a wave of his hand.

“You are Keira Knight, the Paragon?” followed by an ever awkward, “I hope that’s you or I’ve made another big mistake.”

Peering through at him from behind her glasses, Keira's cerulean eyes narrow at the stranger before her, a testament to her guarded nature. With measured resolve, she responds, "Indeed, it is I. Yet, I cannot help but question the means by which you have located me." Aware of the elaborate measures taken to elude pursuit, she surmises that this man possesses a formidable ability to track her, surpassing the limitations of conventional methods.

I know me popping in on you is not what you would consider normal, but I don’t wish you any harm!”

With a sly grin and a hand confidently resting on her hip, she emits a soft chuckle. "You think?" she retorts in response to his unexpected appearance, though her guarded demeanor remains intact, uncertain of this stranger's intentions.

As the stranger elaborates on a purported flaw in time requiring correction, Keira's skepticism mounts. Could meddling with the past not lead to catastrophic paradoxes? Yet, the haunting memory of a regrettable event whispers its allure, tempting her to consider the possibility. A fleeting pang of anguish briefly shadows her flawless features, swiftly dispelled as she refocuses on the stranger's proposition, his last gambit, as he thinks.

When he offers a glimpse through tactile contact, Keira hesitates, torn between caution and curiosity. Succumbing to the latter, her fingers tentatively extend, meeting his. In an instant, a torrent of visions floods her mind, overwhelming yet enlightening. It becomes clear: rectifying this temporal blemish is imperative, its ramifications echoing through time, shaping a future fraught with unforeseen consequences.

With a startled gasp, she withdraws her hand, taking a cautious step back. "Who are you, and how can you help me in rectifying my mistake?"

Not every jump is the same. Ohno has been through countless portals and every time he arrives at a new location, you can never tell what will happen when you arrive. On this location his arrival was spot on. Not only did he appear right were his target was standing, but she didn’t seem to freak out due to his physical appearance. Instead, Keira was calm, confident, and her first inquiry was “I cannot help but question the means by which you have located me."Clearly she was not some normal random human being, but already Ohno knew he was going to like her. “It’s some kind of a cosmic thing,” he explained while trying not to go into detail, “Your time differential led me here!” From that point he went on explaining how important it was for her to come with him. Even standing in a non threatening position and saying “I don’t wish you any harm.” Although his intentions were clear, Keira being the woman she was, responded with a slight chuckle and a rather polite, "You think?" Despite her calm demeanor, Ohno could still see the lack of trust in her eyes, behind her glasses, at which point he knew his words would not be enough. Instead he needed to link with her through hand contact, and hope she would trust him enough to go on a life changing event!

For less than a second they touched, but what happened seemed like a life time. Images from a past flashed before their eyes telling a story of death and destruction. To Ohno it was just images, but Keira had to relive them. In the end they pulled back breaking the link, and as everything slowly went back to normal, Keira had to asks, "Who are you, and how can you help me in rectifying my mistake?" Once again Ohno had to dance around questions he didn’t have an answer to, but still he tried his best. Beginning with “I’m here to help!” his posture slumps as he goes on. “My name is Ohno” putting emphasis on the second O. “I sorta travel through time and space, and some times I even help make small corrections in it as I travel. Well now it’s your turn to right a wrong.” He then turns back and faces her with confidence as he goes on, “I can’t do it without you, but I do know things will get worse for you in the future if we don’t go back and fix it now!”

No Caption Provided

With that said he takes a step back and with the wave of his hand a large black hole the size of a door opens up behind him. Without skipping a beat he takes one step into it, and immediately his leg disappears. He then extends his free hand to her and waves for her to follow. “All you need to do is take my hand and step through this pocket and immediately we will be shifted through time and space roughly twenty-four hours before the said event occurred.” Again, he steps further into the pocket so now only his head, upper torso and right arm can be seen. “It’s perfectly safe and as soon as you enter you will exit another side in a completely different place and time. But it is very important,” he says in a sterner tone,”That you concentrate on the point and time the error occurred or we might be off by a bit!” At that point he quickly goes quiet, as he fails to tell her the downside of traveling through time and space. Even if she doesn’t concentrate, they will arrive at the destination safe, just a few extra weeks off or perhaps miles away from where the event occurred. But the worst part will be the arrival, as Ohno has limited control over that. They could appear anywhere from a top a building to the middle of a crowded street. Either way their arrival will most likely cause a commotion. But for now he stood with his hand out hoping Keira will follow!

@ohno:

When Ohno speaks of a temporal discrepancy, Keira deciphers it as a clue to his uncanny 'gift'—a knack for traversing time's intricate web to pinpoint individuals or objects. It's somewhat comforting that his intentions appear benign, for she's grown weary of evading yet another relentless pursuer.

The mention of a bleak future propels Keira forward, albeit with a measure of blind faith in this enigmatic stranger, whom she knows solely by his moniker.

As the agonizing memories resurface, tears trace silent paths down Keira's cheeks. Haunted by the specters of her past, she has often yearned for the power to expunge them. Now, presented with an opportunity on a silver platter, she hesitates only momentarily before clasping his outstretched hand, though a ripple of apprehension courses through her.

Reluctantly, but feeling compelled, Keira fixates on that fateful day when her world unraveled. With a steadying breath, she steps into the unknown alongside him...

...Only to find herself abruptly thrust into disarray, landing unceremoniously in an alley, stomach churning. She retches, wiping her mouth, and rises, chiding, "A little warning would've been appreciated."

They've arrived, but when? An hour prior to the catastrophe? A day, as the man suggested? It matters little, for Keira possesses no mastery over this temporal dance. With a mental command, her attire morphs into a nondescript hoodie, concealing her identity. "I cannot risk exposure," she asserts. "We must ascertain our temporal coordinates and devise a strategy. I know of a secluded refuge, unless you can offer a superior alternative?"

Meanwhile, concealed within the shadows of an adjacent alley, a figure lurks, unseen. As the city hummed with the restless energy of its inhabitants, the pulse of humanity coursing through its veins like an electric current. Amidst the towering skyscrapers and bustling streets, shadows danced, whispers of secrets exchanged in the darkness.

In this dimly lit alleyway , a figure moved with silent grace, her form cloaked in the embrace of the shadows. The air crackled with anticipation, a storm brewing on the horizon. Eyes watched from the shadows, unseen but ever-present, like predators stalking her prey.

With a flicker of movement, the figure stepped into the light, revealing herelf to the world. She is no ordinary denizen of the city; she is something more. Something of a paradox.

The city held its breath, unaware of the forces at play, the battles fought in the shadows for the soul of humanity. But for now, all was quiet, the calm before the storm. And in that fleeting moment, the figure knew that her destiny awaited, entwined with the fate of the city itself and the heroes she observed.

An ominous smirk curls her lips as she observes, "Took him long enough to fetch her. Now, the real game commences." With a flicker of yellow as she speeds away, she vanishes into the night, leaving behind a whirlwind of debris—a harbinger of the trials yet to come.

In an instant they were gone. Traveling through the dimensions of time and space as easy as breathing. That would be if Ohno breathed. The fact is, it’s really a game of luck. Ohno travels with a internal compass that leads him through one pocket to another. But sometimes it goes awry. Often blaming it on ‘luck’ he simply goes where lead and hopes for the best to turn out. But on those rare occasion he gets a sense that something needs to be changed in a time line, his internal compass is somewhat more reliable. When aided by his visions, his arrival destinations improve dramatically and when guided by another person’s vision, one specifically involved with a time error, his arrival destinations are nearly spot on! That is how he found Keira so easily. But through all his travelings, it had become second nature to him. The act of shifting from one location to another was simply natural. However, after doing it for so long he had forgotten it’s effect on one who had never traveled through a pocket, and the effects it could have on their body.

At the moment they arrived at their new location, Ohno took a second to take in their new surroundings. To him it looked right, it felt right, and it seemed right, and it took him less than a second to mentally understand what little he could about the ‘Culture’ of his new surroundings. It was then he noticed Keira leaning over, vomiting on the pavement under her feet. “A little warning would've been appreciated." she said while, wiping her mouth. Immediately Ohno began apologizing “I’m sorry I did not know this was your firsttime.” he says while trying to sound supportive, “I should have warned you before we left.” He then goes on explaining to her how their arrival point felt right, easily around a day before said event, when suddenly Keira spoke up again. Realizing how their appearance could give them both away, with a mental command her attire morphed into a nondescript hoodie, appropriate with the time and setting, then explained, "I cannot risk exposure," reminding Ohno that he too needed to hide his appearance, for most people of that time period would not react well to a pale white male covered in moving black spots!

But before he could ask her, “Do you have another of those outerwear transfiguration devices?” Keira was already thinking ahead. As if all ready in charge she declared "We must ascertain our temporal coordinates and devise a strategy. I know of a secluded refuge, unless you can offer a superior alternative?" To which Ohno, with no other suggestions, could only agree. But however they arrived at her hide out, should it be through another of Ohno’s pockets or Keira’s flight, at the moment they arrived it quickly got weird. With no true understanding of how Earth works his amazement over her accommodations was overwhelming. With each object he would question how it worked, in relation to other objects from other worlds. At one point he even misunderstood a TV as art work and her bed as a hovering device. But one thing was clear, and that was Ohno needed some kind of a disguise if he was going to continue to walk around outside in front of the other humans.

But now it was time to get down to business, and deal with the event at hand. As Ohno was better equipped to deal with such things he went first. “The visions you saw when you touched my hand are the events leading up to your final destination. It is our job to follow them each and do what we can to either alter them or see that they continue on course. Which ever you feel is appropriate for that situation! In the end I should be able to sense when time is corrected. For who knows, even sending… I believe you call it a mailman in the opposite direction will be all we need to do! The last thing we should do is actually meet your younger self, for that is when things could go wrong.” He then extends his hand for her to touch, and should she, they would only see the first of several images flash before their eyes. In this vision there was a clear image of a bank, a bank that was soon to be robbed by a gang of thugs armed with extraterrestrial technology. At that point he turns to Keira looking for guidance and asks, “What does any of that mean to you?”

@ohno:

Upon reaching her hideout, Keira delights in Ohno's reactions to the eclectic array of items, particularly her TV. Patiently, she offers succinct explanations of each item's function and the reasoning behind its presence, satisfying his curiosity before diving into the task at hand.

As Ohno extended his hand towards her, offering a glimpse into the unfolding events, Keira hesitates briefly before reaching out to touch his palm. In an instant, flashes of imagery flooded her mind, painting a vivid picture of a bank heist orchestrated by a group wielding advanced alien technology.

As the visions subsided, Keira withdrew her hand, deep in thought. "The bank robbery... it's a pivotal moment," she began, her voice firm with resolve. "If left unchecked, it could disrupt the delicate balance of the timeline, leading to unforeseen consequences." She avoids mentioning her failure to thwart the bank robbery in the original timeline, attributing it to being preoccupied with another task.

She paces the room, her mind racing with possibilities. "We have to intervene, but we must do so discreetly, minimizing any alterations to the timeline. Perhaps we can thwart the robbery without drawing undue attention to ourselves."

Her gaze met Ohno's, a silent understanding passing between them. "We'll need to gather more information, assess the situation before taking action. Stealth and precision will be our allies in this endeavor."

Keira moved to a nearby table, retrieving a map of the city. "We'll start by scouting the area, identifying potential entry points, and locating any weaknesses in their security measures. Time is of the essence, but we must proceed cautiously."

Turning back to Ohno, she offered a determined smile. "Together, we'll navigate this challenge and ensure that the threads of time remain intact. Are you ready?"

The time at Keira’s hide out was productive. In his short time there he learned a lot about human culture. With Keira as his teacher he learned about TV, music and smaller details that may seem unimportant to Keira, but meant a lot to Ohno. But one detail he was not aware of were the subtle differences between men and women. As Ohno needed a disguise to hide his appearance from the other mortals, he was given permission to raid one of Keira’s closets. But with his ignorance of human culture he came out wearing one of her favorite evening gowns. Eventually, and with a little help, he ends up with a pair of men’s slack and a black hoody, that with a pair a huge thick sunglasses, he could cover his whole body. But as it gave him a clever disguise, he couldn’t help but mention, “It may work, but it does not feel right against my skin!” In the end he excepted the discomfort for the sake of the mission, but once it was done, he couldn’t wait to get out of them.

But now it was time to get down to the mission, and after a short exchange of visions through contact, they both saw the Lincoln National Bank, and a robbery that was soon to happen. Immediately Keira, recognizing the place, informs Ohno, "The bank robbery... it's a pivotal moment. If left unchecked, it could disrupt the delicate balance of the timeline, leading to unforeseen consequences." to which Ohno could only smile as it led them closer to their first trial. But as Ohno was already prepared to open a pocket, to the bank, Keira began pacing back and forth as she put her mind to the task, trying her best to control and decipher it, as she does with every situation. "We have to intervene,” she says as she begins coming up with a plan “but we must do so discreetly, minimizing any alterations to the timeline. Perhaps we can thwart the robbery without drawing undue attention to ourselves." Again Ohno agrees, putting great emphasis on the fact they should act discreetly, as he reminds her again how important it is that she does not make contact with her younger self!

Taking Ohno’s words to heart, Keira goes on, foretelling her plan, or at least the most logical path to success. "We'll need to gather more information,” she says strategically “assess the situation before taking action. Stealth and precision will be our allies in this endeavor." She then goes on explaining how they would need to scout the area first, identifying potential entry points, and locating any weaknesses in their security measures, all the while reminding them that time is of the essence. Finally she turns to Ohno with a smile and reassures him "Together, we'll navigate this challenge and ensure that the threads of time remain intact. Are you ready?" Immediately Ohno responds with a smile in return, and out of sheer curiosity has to ask. “You sound like you have done this before. Are you sure you’ve never repaired a time line?” But as that did not matter at the time, Ohno goes on and informs her, “Then by all means lets get down to business.” With a wave of his hand another pocket opens, this time showing the destination on the other side. As seen through it, it reveals a random roof top, over looking a busy street in the middle of down town.

“Are you ready?” Ohno asks as he steps partially through, “I guarantee you that this time the trip through will be more pleasurable.” With that said he walks through, waving at her from the other side. At the moment she finally does, he eagerly asks, “Was I right? Did you enjoy it this time?” Soon enough Ohno leads Keira to the side of the roof top where they could look down upon the street, then begins to explain to her what was so important about it. “I assume you recognize it? There, right across the street is the Lincoln National Bank, the same one that is about to be robbed in roughly fifteen minutes.” He then leads her back to the center of the roof top, along the concrete floor, to where they can talk. “This is were the fun comes in. You suggested we should try to thwart the robbery, which is good! Always go with your instincts, after all this is your life we are dealing with.” Putting a lot of faith in her, he goes on to ask “So what do you feel like we should do next?” But as the two of them were talking, down below on the streets a flash of lighting moves by so fast it could barely be seen.

But with his ignorance of human culture he came out wearing one of her favorite evening gowns.

Keira's reaction is almost instinctual—a suppressed urge to face palm. It's not that men can't pull off women's clothing; it's just that, well, it rarely works out as expected. With a sigh, she takes it upon herself to gently steer towards more suitable attire options...

Eventually, and with a little help, he ends up with a pair of men’s slack and a black hoody, that with a pair a huge thick sunglasses, he could cover his whole body. But as it gave him a clever disguise, he couldn’t help but mention,“It may work, but it does not feel right against my skin!”

In her quest for suitable attire, Keira delves into the depths of her belongings until she unearths a pair of men's slacks and a sleek black hoodie. Their origins remain a mystery—a remnant of a past relationship, perhaps? Keira keeps her secrets close, offering no clues. As she considers the ensemble, her gaze falls upon a pair of substantial sunglasses, a perfect addition to complete the look. With a sly grin, she presents them, anticipating their transformative effect.

However, he makes it clear they don't quite align with his comfort zone. Keira's smirk deepens, her amusement bubbling forth. "Guess it's a good thing it's only for a day." she quips, punctuating her statement with a playful wink.

As the the mutual plan slowly unfolds, Keira is glad that Ohno agrees to it so far. At the question weather Keira has done this time travel thing before, the man immediately dismisses it as unimportant. Good because she did not want to answer it.

Once they walk through the portal, Keira does not feel anything negative this time around. Rather she feels a pleasurable tingly sensation run up and down her body to the point it makes her blush as she answers his question with slightly red cheeks, "Yes."

Soon enough Ohno leads Keira to the side of the roof top where they could look down upon the street, then begins to explain to her what was so important about it.“I assume you recognize it? There, right across the street is the Lincoln National Bank, the same one that is about to be robbed in roughly fifteen minutes.”He then leads her back to the center of the roof top, along the concrete floor, to where they can talk.“This is were the fun comes in. You suggested we should try to thwart the robbery, which is good! Always go with your instincts, after all this is your life we are dealing with.”Putting a lot of faith in her, he goes on to ask“So what do you feel like we should do next?”But as the two of them were talking, down below on the streets a flash of lighting moves by so fast it could barely be seen.

As Ohno unveils the impending heist unfolding across the street, Keira can't help but feel the weight of responsibility settle on her shoulders. The Lincoln National Bank, a landmark of the city's financial hub, stands vulnerable, awaiting its fate in just minutes. His trust in her, in her instincts, is both empowering and daunting.

Returning to the center of the rooftop, the concrete beneath their feet echoing with the gravity of the situation, Keira absorbs his words. This is it—the moment where their actions can make a difference, where the choices they make could alter the course of events. Ohno's question hangs in the air, a challenge and an invitation to seize control of the situation.

Taking a steadying breath, Keira channels the courage and determination that define her as a hero. "We need to act swiftly and decisively," she asserts, her voice firm with resolve. "First, we need to gather as much information as we can—how many robbers, what weapons they're carrying, any hostages. Then, we devise a plan to neutralize the threat without putting innocent lives at risk."

But even as they strategize, a fleeting blur catches Keira's eye below—a harbinger of the chaos about to unfold. Time is of the essence, and every second counts in their race to protect the city they call home. With a nod to Ohno, Keira steels herself for the challenge ahead, ready to unleash the full extent of her powers to safeguard the innocent and uphold justice in the face of darkness.

The time at Keira’s hide out was productive. Not only did Ohno learn a little bit more of Human nature, but got a laugh out of Keira as well. But perhaps the most important thing was that he began to make a bond with her. In there short time together, he began to like her, even consider her a friend, which in the end was disappointing, for once their mission was complete, he would probably never see her ever again. But for now he considered her a friend, one he hopes he could help, or at least put her back on the right ‘Time Track’ for a better life. One that would not lead to her inevitable doom. For that was his curse, his cross to bare, as he simply travels through time and space, trying to fix what goes wrong. Then simply moves on to the next incursion! No thanks, no praise, and sadly no time to make friends. For him it is a thankless job, but someone has to do it. If he did not have a whimsical sense of humor he might go mad!

But for now the mission was important, and through a quick trip through one of his pockets, they now stood a top a building across the street from The Lincoln National Bank, the first step in sending Keira back on the right Time Track! With roughly fifteen minutes before the robbery was to occur, Ohno tried explaining how important it was that she should always follow her gut instincts, as it was her life line that was being questioned. Or to put it better, she was now in control of her past and present, and that her gut feeling was her greatest tool in resetting her Time Track! But for now Ohno wished to go over the first of the many images that flashed through their minds when they touched, specifically the ones involving the robbery of The Lincoln National Bank. In the shared vision it was about to be robbed by a small crew armed with advanced technological weapons, rolling up in a green van.

But as always Keira was not one to jump in blindly into any mission, and as she put it, "We need to act swiftly and decisively. First, we need to gather as much information as we can—how many robbers, what weapons they're carrying, any hostages. Then, we devise a plan to neutralize the threat without putting innocent lives at risk." Once again Ohno marveled at her wisdom, especially how easily she was adapting to being placed in such a weird situation and again answered “Of course” and again, “Always trust your gut instincts after all, this is your life we are rewriting!” But as they were still standing on top of the roof discussing their plans, Ohno noticed that for a split second, her eyes looked down upon the street as if she saw something that caught her eye. Something that was more important to her than the mission at hand!

Immediately thereafter, a huge explosion erupted from within The Lincoln National Bank, sending glass and debris shooting outward across the street. At the same time a hot ball of fire lit the skies as it engulfed the building, muffling the cries of those caught in it’s wake. Even the building Ohno and Keira stood on shook as alarms went off everywhere, leaving Ohno with what could be considered a look of shock on his ever changing face. Immediately he moved to grab Keira, while at the same time doing his best to explain what was going on, far above the fact that the bank just blew up! “I don’t know if you are feeling this,” he says with great importance, “but that bank was not suppose to go up like that! There is some other force out their trying to alter your Time Track! That bank was suppose to be robbed in about thirteen minutes! Not go up in a ball of fire!”

He then leans in closer looking her deep in her eyes, as two black spot centered on his face as eyes, “It’s very important that you concentrate, for everything is about to change. I need you to think hard and try to remember your past as it is about to be wiped away with a new one, I need you to concentrate and remember it as new memories will be rushing in to replace them. Again I don’t know what forces are out there, but someone or something is specifically trying to destroy you through your past, and only your shared memories of your old past and now new ones can help us stop it!” Ohno did not know what else to say, other than how important it was for her to remember, for all he has to go on were the previous visions of her life from when they first met. But if someone else was out there interfering with them, then he is as good as lost. Meanwhile as Ohno and Keira stood atop a building looking down below, a streak of light flashed far away from the crime scene as a green van pulled up with several confused men who were about to rob the bank!

@ohno:

Keira feels the building tremble beneath her feet as the explosion rips through The Lincoln National Bank, a shockwave of heat and chaos emanating from the epicenter. Ohno's urgent grasp pulls her attention away from the inferno consuming the skyline, his voice a frantic melody amid the cacophony of alarms and distant screams.

She nods, her hood obscuring the concern etched on her features. "I feel it," Keira replies, her voice steady despite the turmoil surrounding them. "But something's wrong. Your right, this wasn't supposed to happen."

Her gaze sweeps over the cityscape, searching for any sign of the unseen force manipulating the threads of time. The weight of responsibility presses down on her shoulders, a reminder of the mantle she carries as a guardian of order.

"Whatever it is, we need to stop it," she declares, determination lacing her words.

As Keira feels Ohno's gaze piercing through the darkness that shrouds his face, his words are a stark warning echoing in the recesses of her mind. The weight of his plea settles upon her like a leaden cloak, urging her to grasp onto the fragments of her past before they slip away into oblivion.

Struggling against the onslaught of confusion, Keira digs deep into the recesses of her consciousness, grasping at the tendrils of memory that threaten to unravel. Flashes of faces and places flicker before her mind's eye, elusive and fragmented, like shards of glass scattered across a murky pond.

"Paradox," she murmurs, the name clinging to her tongue like a faint echo from a forgotten dream. She knows little of the enigmatic villain, save for the whispers of her nefarious deeds that drift through the shadows of her subconscious. Could she be the architect of this chaos, the puppeteer pulling the strings of fate?

But before she can delve deeper into the labyrinth of her thoughts, a surge of new memories floods her senses, a torrent of sensations and experiences crashing against the fragile shores of her consciousness. With a gasp, Keira clutches at her head, the lines between past and present blurring into a kaleidoscope of shifting truths.

Before she can delve deeper into her thoughts, a surge of new memories floods her mind like a tidal wave, washing away the remnants of her old life. Faces, places, and events rearrange themselves in her mind, rewriting the fabric of her existence with a relentless force.

Gone are the moments she once held dear, replaced by a tapestry of unfamiliar experiences. The weight of her past dissipates into the ether, leaving her adrift in a sea of uncertainty.

With a gasp, Keira stumbles backward, her hand reaching out instinctively for Ohno's support. The world around her shifts and twists, the past slipping away into oblivion as her new reality takes hold. She blinks, disoriented yet resolute, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead with the strength of her newfound memories guiding her path.

As the remnants of her old life fade into oblivion, Keira stands on the precipice of a new beginning, her resolve steeled against the tides of fate. With Ohno by her side, she will confront whatever trials lie ahead, armed with the unwavering certainty that even in the face of oblivion, hope endures.

With a swift motion, she unfurls her cape, the fabric catching the wind as she leaps from the rooftop, her powers surging beneath her skin. Together, they'll unravel the mystery behind the disrupted timeline and restore balance to the city.

Shrouded in a fresh disguise, Superion, masked to conceal her true identity, glides with effortless grace at supersonic speed toward the would-be bank robbers. As she approaches, they pivot, brandishing weapons unlike any she's encountered before – advanced, energy-based armaments that unleash searing pain upon impact. Caught off guard, Keira staggers backward, her costume and flesh alike bearing the scars of their assault. With simmering fury igniting her gaze to a fiery red, she retaliates, liquefying their firearms with a mere glance. It's evident: someone anticipated her arrival, these adversaries are no ordinary criminals.

Suddenly, a tap on Ohno's shoulder might jolt him from his focus. Should he turn to look, he's met with a blur of yellow-gloved fury hurtling toward him – none other than Paradox herself, poised to deliver a resounding blow. "Surprise!" she exclaims, a mischievous grin dancing upon her lips.

One thing was for certain, and that was the bank was not suppose to explode. It was a time anomaly, not one that would destroy the very fabrics of time, but one that could have major ramification. And at the moment the bank went up in a ball of fire, Ohno immediately turned to Keira and exclaimed, “That bank was suppose to be robbed in about thirteen minutes! Not go up in a ball of fire!” But to his surprise, Keira responded with a “Your right, this wasn't supposed to happen." Immediately Ohno was surprised at how easily her mind adapted to the anomaly, and how quickly she adapted to the situation. In fact it was a clear sign that she was both physically, and mentally, capable of handling the riggers of time travel. But before he could tell her, that was only the first of changes to her memory, she shouts out a name, one with vile and uncertain fear, "Paradox," At the time it meant nothing to Ohno as he had never heard the name before, but from the look in her eyes he knew this person was somehow behind it.

No Caption Provided

Unfortunately, now was not the time to worry about that, as within seconds Keira’s memories were about to change. With what little time left, Ohno reached out to her, telling her, pleading with her to remember her original past before the new one creeps in. This was by far the most important thing as only Keira’s previous memories were the clues to solving who or what Paradox was up to. This was such an emotional moment for Ohno that a small change was happening to his appearance. Where normally his face would be an ever changing order of black spots, it now showed traces of eyes and a mouth. Where a human’s eyes would normally be, he now sported two black dots, and for a mouth a larger one. One that actually moved up and down when he spoke. This had never happened to him before, and quite honestly he did not even know this was happening. But the fact was he was feeling a connection with her and it was beginning to show!

But for now it was up to Keira, and Keira alone. There was nothing more Ohno could do but be emotional support. For an instant she stumbled back, as past and present memories raced through her mind, even reaching out to Ohno for help. But all he could do was lay her softly on the hard roof top and pray that she was strong enough to survive this ordeal. As there was nothing else he could do, Ohno choose to use the time wisely and learn everything he could about this mysterious Paradox! Sitting down next to Keira, he blocked out all thoughts except for the memories he shared with her. Although they were images that flashed by in mere seconds he replayed them over endlessly until that name came up again. Unfortunately Keira’s memories of her were limited, all he learned was that this Paradox, not only had the ability to traverse time through a ‘speed force’, but that she had a personal grudge against Keira.

However, as Ohno was concentrating, he was oblivious to Keira’s actions, and by through sheer will she remembered both of her pasts, as the new ones came sliding in. More to his surprise, as she regained her composure, her first impulse was to apprehend the criminals below, before they could do any harm. If Ohno could have seen it, he would have been amazed. For never in his life had he seen such a woman like her in action. Unfortunately for him he too was about to be in a fight of his own. With his mind in a self induced memory loop, he was completely unaware that the one he had been searching for was already on top of him. In a blur of yellow and red light, she had already robbed The Lincoln National Bank, set off several bombs inside it, ran back to her hide out to stash the money, then run back to the building Ohno was resting on, up it, and then right behind him! All done in the blink of an eye. Whether she was after Keira or Ohno was questionable, but the fact was she had caught Ohno, completely off guard.

No Caption Provided

Suddenly Ohno feels a tap on his shoulder, awakening him from a trance, and upon opening his eyes, a punch comes in so fast he didn’t even see it. Even before hearing the word “Surprise!” Paradox hit him so hard and fast that he was knocked off the roof and sent falling to the street below. His head still reeling from the pain, he had no idea who hit him, and had less than seconds to react, and with no idea where Keira was, he needed to save himself. With only seconds to react he created a pocket just beneath him, while at the same time, another one aligned vertically on the street. As planned he fell through the black hole beneath him, then walked out the one on the street below. Although impressive, it was a normal occurrence for him. Although the pain from Paradox’s attack was still throbbing! In the mean time, Paradox had already fled the scene, and moved on to the next step in her plan.

But whatever Keira was doing up until then, Ohno was beyond joy when they met up again. “I am so pleasedthat you were not harmed!” then immediately goes into, “But do you remember me and your past?” But just as soon as she explained all she had accomplished, Ohno had to give her the bad news. “Listen I’m proud of you,” he says with a now almost recognizable face, “But we have to leave now, before your past self shows up! I still sense in the time line that you, (he shakes his head) her, will be arriving soon to put out the fire!” He then looks upon the thugs she easily handled, only to finish with, “But it looks like you have already done half her work!” With a wave of his hand he opens another pocket that he halfway enters only to beckon her to follow. “What’s worse is I think I met this Paradox, and if so our troubles have only begun. But our best step is to continue to follow your original time line, which by the visions tells me it will be at the Americo Airline Airport where you will stop a group of terrorist from hijacking a plane!” With that said he waves for her to follow as he continually looks up in the sky hoping they will escape before Keira’s past self will arrive.

As Ohno's words sink in, Keira's head throbs with confusion. She blinks, trying to make sense of the chaos around her. Her senses are still reeling from the explosion, the acrid smell of smoke filling her nostrils. With a wince, she glances down at her singed costume, feeling the sting of minor burns on her skin.

"I... I don't understand," she murmurs, her voice strained with disbelief. Her mind races, trying to recall any hint of a planned robbery. But there's nothing, just a blank space where that information should be. "I stopped them," she adds, gesturing to the men now sprawled on the ground, subdued by her powers. "But I don't remember... I didn't know..."

Oh dear! It seems Keira has forgotten that the bank wasn't supposed to explode!

Her words trail off as she shakes her head, trying to push through the haze of confusion. Despite the urgency of the situation, a sense of unease settles in her chest. What else might she have missed? What other dangers were lurking just beyond her grasp? With a determined frown, Keira pushes aside her doubts, focusing instead on the task at hand: protecting the city and uncovering the truth behind this unexpected twist of fate.

Keira feels a rush of relief as she reunites with Ohno, her trusted ally. "I'm so glad you're safe," she says, her voice tinged with gratitude. But her heart sinks as Ohno brings up memories she can't recall. "I'm sorry, Ohno. I wish I could remember," she admits, frustration evident in her tone.

As Ohno explains the urgency of their situation, Keira's determination flares. "I'll do whatever it takes to set things right," she declares, her resolve unwavering. She nods solemnly at Ohno's words, understanding the gravity of their predicament.

With a sense of urgency, Keira follows Ohno's lead, her senses heightened as they navigate the chaos around them. "I won't let my past self derail our mission," she vows, her focus sharpening as they race against time.

As they disappear into the unknown, Keira's mind races with thoughts of the challenges ahead. "I'll face this Paradox head-on," she tells herself, her determination steeling her against the uncertainty of what lies ahead. With Ohno by her side, she feels a sense of hope amidst the chaos, ready to confront whatever obstacles come their way as they arrive at the airport.

Standing in the aftermath of the explosion, Ohno quickly joined Keira along side the criminals who were planning to rob the bank. But as they lied there beaten and broken, Ohno’s major concern was for Keira and her memories. For when it comes to time traveling like this, nothing is more important than the sources memories. For in this case it was Keira’s, as she alone was the key to her past and present, and it was her instinct and gut reactions that would lead them on their way. But as Ohno continued questioning her about her memories of the bank being robbed and not exploding, all she could do was stand there and say,"I'm sorry, Ohno. I wish I could remember!" Immediately Ohno stepped back, frightened by her answer, but this was not as bad as it seemed. Many times in his life had a subject lost certain memories of their lives when traversing time, but this time Ohno knew why, and it’s name was Paradox. To make it worse, Ohno would forever remember glimpses of the original past, and would never be able to share it with her through his touch, as it would now have disastrous effects on her mind!

No Caption Provided

But even as she stood there and declared "I'll do whatever it takes to set things right," Ohno knew it was a lost cause, and the only move to make was to quickly move on to the next moment in her Time Track, and pray that it’s effects will set time right. With no time to waist he immediately opened a new pocket, and after stepping halfway into it he tells her in no uncertain way, “our best step is to continue to follow your original time line, which by the visions tells me it will be at the Americo Airline Airport where you will stop a group of terrorist from hijacking a plane!” But the fact was he was beginning to worry about Paradox and what she could do to the time line and Keira herself, and he was getting mad! But in true heroic fashion, Keira stepped up and moved forward into his pocket, and just as they traveled through to the other side, she made sure to let Ohno know, "I won't let my past self derail our mission,"and more importantly, "I'll face this Paradox head-on!" But what she did not know, or maybe heard with her super hearing, was that as Ohno was exiting to the other side of his pocket, he whispered back to her, “No, I will most likely have to Kill her myself,”for he knew he needed to protect his friend Keira, even though he had never taken a life before, and didn’t know if he could?

In a instant they were gone, and as quickly as they were standing in the streets, they came out the other side of a pocket into what appeared to be a janitor’s closet. Cramped together they were surrounded by mops, brooms and every other cleaning supply stacked on shelves. “You might want to hide your appearance again.” Ohno said while trying to figure out what a ‘sponge’ is and what it is used for. But as soon as they were ready, they stepped out of the closet into a crowd of people scurrying around at the Americo Airline Airport. For the briefest of seconds Ohno let out a sigh of relief as they actually reached their destination, at which point he acts like everything is going according to plan. With somewhat confidence he informs her “As planned (he coughs) this is the Americo Airline Airport and according to our shared visions, in about 15 minutes flight A-15 heading towards Washington will be hijacked by a small group of terrorists. So tell me what can you remember about this day, specifically where they are coming from?”

No Caption Provided

Meanwhile inside the men’s room inside the terminal, a small group of four men dressed as tourists check their weapons and gear. Armed with specific guns that will not be detected at the metal detector as well as several lethal explosive devices, they call themselves ‘the open eye’ and are willing to die for their beliefs. After taking only a moment to go over the plan, they exit one by one, two minutes apart. As planned they were then suppose to spread out and proceed to take separate paths to the metal detector then to the ticket window then to the plane, but something has gone wrong. In the original time line they would all board flight A-15, but now they have new orders. For hours before, a certain time traveling speedster met up with the terrorist and with the money stolen from the bank, has persuaded the terrorist…. to alter their plan!

Keira listens intently to Ohno's briefing, her eyes scanning the bustling airport terminal as she stands disguised among the crowd. Her black attire and mask conceal her identity, but her determination shines through. When Ohno finishes speaking, Keira steps forward, her voice steady despite the gravity of the situation.

"I remember this day," Keira replies, her tone resolute. "But its not happening the way it should. These men were supposed to board Flight A-15 after passing through security. But now, I wonder, why their plans have changed. They're no longer heading straight for the metal detectors. They're splitting up—two to the ticket window, two to the plane, likely to avoid suspicion."

As she speaks, Keira's mind races with the visions she shared with Ohno. She can see the altered paths laid out by Paradox, and she knows the stakes are higher than ever. Her powers give her a sense of responsibility that weighs heavily on her shoulders. She must stop the terrorists, protect innocent lives, and somehow navigate the chaos caused by Paradox's meddling.

Turning to Ohno with determination in her eyes, Keira adds, "We need to intercept them before they reach their targets. Time is against us, but we can't let Paradox dictate the outcome. Let's move."

With a nod from Ohno, Keira blends back into the crowd, her senses heightened as she searches for any sign of the terrorists. Every moment counts, and she knows that the future depends on their success in thwarting this altered plan.

Although things did not work out so well at the bank, Ohno was confident things would work out this time. After another quick glimpse through Keira’s time line, the question now was ‘which would have a lesser effect on her,’ making sure the terrorists board the plane and allow past Keira to stop them, or prevent them from boarding the plane all together. Being the man that Ohno was, and after all the journeys he had been on, it was safe to say stopping the terrorist from boarding the plane was the right idea. Either way this point in time was critical, as there were only a few more points in time to change before reaching the final point where she killed out of cold blood! For now it was at this point in time that must be prevented before it would have dire consequences on her life, in her future yet to come. For already he could see through time, just how Paradox’s bombing a bank was having an effect on her!

No Caption Provided

Now standing in the airport lobby, Keira informs him she was aware of the significance of this time and place, as well as what has already happened to change it. In this new time line the four terrorists of ‘the open eye’ were splitting up, as Keira put it, “They're no longer heading straight for the metal detectors. They're splitting up—two to the ticket window, two to the plane.” Ready to act, Ohno waited for Keira’s perspective on how to deal with the change, as again it is always best to go with her gut reaction, as it is her life on the line, and it finally came in the form of, "We need to intercept them before they reach their targets. Time is against us, but we can't let Paradox dictate the outcome. Let's move." Immediately Ohno agreed even suggesting they split up, or as he put it, “To help save time, I’ll stop the two at the ticket window, you stop the other two!We will meet up again outside in the parking lot!” He then tosses her a good luck nod only to finish with a stern, “And I should not have to say this again, but no matter what avoid your past self, and keep an eye out for Paradox!”

No Caption Provided

With that in mind he locked eyes on the two terrorist at the ticket window and slowly began walking towards them. Unaware of the customs of the airport, the security quickly noticed as a man in a hoodie began walking past those in line, heading directly to the front of the ticket window. But before they could act, Ohno got close enough to the terrorists that he was able to whisper in their ear, “I know why you are hear, and I am going to stop you!” Immediately everything went wrong, as every security guard in the area drew their guns and aimed it at him, while at the same time the terrorist drew their guns as well. It was now a Mexican stand off as Ohno strategically took a few steps back, to make room, while the security began barking orders at Ohno and the terrorists. It was then in the heat of it all that the terrorists, acting out of fear and some misguided notion, yelled something in a foreign language and open fired with all rounds, at anyone they could hit.

But before the guns went off, Ohno was ready for them and with a wave of his hand two pockets opened up mere inches in front of the terrorists guns. At the same time to other pockets opened up right above their feat. Then as the two terrorists open fired, their bullets immediately traveled out of their guns, into the two pockets in front of them, then out the ones above their feat, at which point the bullets shot right into their feet, ripping through them with a fury of bullet holes. Before the security even knew it, the terrorists fell to the ground in pain screaming in agony as the security soon aimed there guns at them. But not ready to give up yet, one of the terrorist grabbed a briefcase clasped tight in his grip and after opening it for all to see. Inside it was a bomb complete with wires and C4, with enough explosive to blow up half the airport.

Once again the security guards were to scared to know what to do, as everyone else in the airport ran for cover. Ohno however had to respond with his flamboyant nature and make the joke “That item of yours looks a little hot, allow me to cool it off.” Before anyone knew it, with a wave of his hand another pocket opened up just a hair below the bomb, that unbeknownst to everyone was a pathway to a realm of pure ice, where the temperature was well below freezing. Already the temperature in the airport had dropped two degrees after Ohno opened it, and with another wave of his hand the pocket moved up until it engulfed the bomb right up to the handle of the terrorists briefcase. Then, after Ohno simply waved the pocket away, the bomb was now frozen solid and completely defused! Within seconds the security guards were on top of the two terrorist, cuffing them while treating their wounds, while two of them kept their guns locked on Ohno! But before they could arrest him, with a thought Ohno opened another life sized pocket behind him, and as he quickly, yet casually, stepped into it, he vanished from sight, only to reappear outside in the parking lot, hoping and praying Keira was successful, and more importantly...alright!

Keira nods firmly, her cape fluttering as she spins on her heel and darts towards the plane. Her black vigilante costume hugs her frame, blending into the shadows of the airport as she moves with precision and purpose. Her eyes, sharp behind the mask, scan the crowd for the two terrorists making their way towards the plane.

With a sudden burst of speed, she streaks through the terminal, her superhuman abilities allowing her to close the distance in mere seconds. The terrorists, clad in dark clothing and carrying suspicious bags, are caught off guard by her sudden appearance. Keira’s powerful presence is undeniable, and her confidence is evident as she lands gracefully in front of them, her cape sweeping dramatically behind her.

“Stop right there!” she commands, her voice cutting through the chaos of the airport. The terrorists freeze, wide-eyed with shock. Before they can react, Keira is already in motion. With a swift series of movements, she disarms them, her hands moving faster than the eye can follow. Their weapons are taken from them and tossed aside with effortless grace. She uses her super strength to subdue them, pinning them to the ground with a firm but controlled grip.

“Let’s see you try anything now,” she says, her tone steely and resolute. The terrorists, now securely restrained, are left to await the arrival of the authorities. Keira takes a moment to ensure they’re fully incapacitated before heading back towards the parking lot.

As she approaches the designated meeting spot, she spots Ohno waiting for her, his own task evidently completed. His eyes meet hers, and a brief but relieved smile crosses his face. Keira slows to a stop, her cape settling around her as she approaches him.

“So, how did it go for you?” she asks, her voice steady despite the adrenaline still coursing through her veins. She watches Ohno closely, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern. “Did you manage to handle the ones at the ticket window without any issues?”

The waiting was excruciating, even for a man who could bend time. For every second he had to wait, his concern for his new friend grew even more and more. Even though this was not one of the more important moments in Keira’s life, that led to her tragic mistake, it’s outcome could still be horrific. So with nothing else to do but wait, he closed his eyes and opened his mind to her timeline, in the hopes of sensing a positive effect. But just before he was about to begin from the far side of the lot he could see Keira in her heroic outfit racing towards him, with what appeared to be a smile on her face. Soon enough the two of them were reunited, and after an awkward moment over if they should hug or not, Ohno could not hide how happy he was to see her again. In fact once again his face took on a more human look as two dots took the place of eyes as another two for his mouth and nose. But just before he was about to ask, “Keira, my dear friend, how are you?” she happened to speak up first.

No Caption Provided

Still recovering from her recent escapade, while catching her breath she asks, “So, how did it go for you?” But before Ohno could answer, he could see the genuine concern in her eyes hidden behind her curiosity, especially after she finished asking “Did you manage to handle the ones at the ticket window without any issues?” While moving to place his hand on her shoulder he comforts her by letting her know, “It’s all taken care of. I successfully stopped the others and I am happy to say our actions have had a positive effect on your future.” Continuing on as if she understood, “I can sense that because your past self did not deal with the terrorist it led her (or you) on a more enlightened path, one that might preventyour past self from killing.” Just behind them that same plane the terrorist should have been on takes off and heads towards the sky. Like a beacon of hope it soars even higher until the roar of it’s engines could no longer be heard. Then in a moment of pure terror it explodes into a huge ball of fire, lighting up the sky as countless agonizing screams could not be heard!

Immediately Ohno let out several cries of compassion over all the lives that were lost, ending with a sorrowful “How could this happen?” For as of right now he, and possibly Keira, had no idea that Paradox had already planted a bomb onboard the plane long before the two of them stopped the terrorist. Almost as if she knew what was happening and was always one step ahead. Either way Ohno, still shaking his head in disbelief, immediately informed Kiera, “We need to leave now! Quickly, before your past self shows up, which I am guessing will be soon after what just happened!” He then quickly opens another of his pockets leading back towards Keira’s hide out and with great concern he steps through, while almost dragging her with him. But at the moment they both end up back at Keira’s original hide out, Ohno goes into a full blown melt down!

No Caption Provided

Nearly bouncing off the walls, Ohno’s mind was racing through Keira’s timeline, looking for anyway to repair the damage that was just done. “That should never have happened!” he says over and over. Finally he calms down enough to inform her. “I don’t know how it happened but your entire timeline is off track, and I’m not even sure we can fix it! My only guess is we stop messing around with the points that led you to the point you would kill, and deal with just that one moment!” Even though his hands are shaking with stress, he prepares to open a new pocket to their next and final destination, when he suddenly stumbles and almost falls into Keira’s arms. “No this can’t be!” He says as his face turns into one large black hole. “I can no longer see that moment in time!” His voice filled with dire concern as he goes on, “It’s as if it is no longer there. I’m not talking about it happening or not happening, I’m talking about that entire moment where you killed has been removed from time.” He then looks deep into Keira’s eyes as he tells her the worst part, “I can no longer tell you what effects will happened to your life. For every time I try to look into your future all I can see is Paradox standing there smiling back at me!!!!”

@ohno:

The air between them crackles, the tension thick, as Keira’s boots skid to a stop in front of Ohno. Her heart is still pounding from the last few minutes—flying, fighting, racing against the clock—and though her face betrays none of it, she’s more exhausted than she lets on. But the sight of Ohno standing there, an aura of urgency around him, brings a rare sense of calm. Finally, a moment of peace. At least, for now.

"I'm fine." Said with a satisfied smile, hiding her weariness.

Ohno’s words hang in the air, sweet at first—reassuring, almost too comforting. Keira listens, her thoughts momentarily at ease. A more enlightened path. That was what they were trying to do, wasn’t it? Alter the course of her future, give her a chance at something better, something... lighter.

But the hope only lasts for a fraction of a second.

Behind them, the jet that was supposed to carry the terrorist spirals higher and higher into the sky. Keira doesn’t even need to look. She can feel the finality of it, like a clock winding down, like a ticking bomb in her chest.

And then—Boom.

Keira stands there, frozen, her mind struggling to keep up with Ohno’s frantic words. His panic is palpable, his once controlled demeanor now a whirlwind of confusion and regret. She can feel it—the crackling tension in the air, the dissonance in the timeline, the fracture in everything they’ve just worked so hard to fix.

She’s no stranger to chaos. In fact, chaos is part of her blood. But this? This is something else. Ohno is spiraling, his usually composed form now a tangle of shadows and uncertainty. She wants to reach out, to comfort him, to offer the stability that he’s always tried to give her. But something in her gut tells her this is bigger than either of them.

She stands tall, muscles tight beneath her skin, eyes narrowed as she watches the storm unfold in Ohno’s gaze. Her own pulse is steady, but deep down, her thoughts are a tangle of jagged edges. Time. It’s always about time, isn’t it? The thing she never seemed to get right. The thing that never gave her the answers when she needed them most.

“Paradox,” she repeats quietly, almost to herself. That name... She’s heard it before. Seen the aftermath of it. A dark reflection of someone—a reminder of the path she nearly took. But now? Now, it’s like the very fabric of her destiny has been sliced open, leaving only void in its place.

Her voice cuts through the tension, sharp and steady. “You’re telling me… that I’ve been erased. That moment—the one where I killed—it's gone from existence. Vanished.” Her words feel like lead as they leave her mouth, each syllable weighing down her chest.

Keira's breath hitches. Paradox. A version of her twisted by the darkness of her past. The one that didn’t turn away from violence. The one that broke everything. The one who killed. She can feel the weight of the words pressing against her ribs, but she fights it down. Fights the panic that rises like bile in her throat.

"So this is it," she says, her voice low but steady. Her gaze never wavers from Ohno’s empty stare. "The timeline’s broken. And now we have to face her."

A silence falls between them, thick with the weight of reality. Keira knows what she’s facing. The choice she made long ago to step into the light—away from the shadows, away from the violence, away from the killer inside her. But if the timeline has been erased—if that moment is gone—then the killer she used to be could return. And this time, it won’t be her deciding. It’ll be Paradox.

Her fists clench, her fingers aching with the tension. The air around her starts to shimmer, the faintest hint of heat radiating off her skin as she forces herself to breathe evenly.

Keira steps forward, her voice firm, unyielding. "Then we stop her. We stop Paradox. Whatever it takes." She doesn't hesitate. She won't."I’m not letting her take my life again. Not when I’ve fought so hard to hold onto it."

Her eyes meet Ohno’s, her expression hard but resolute. He may not be able to see her future, but she can feel the weight of it. Her future. Her path. The one she’s still choosing. The one that Paradox doesn’t get to rewrite.

“Get us there,” she says. “I’m not running from this anymore.”

And with that, Keira Knightfall—Paragon, in every sense of the word—prepares to face the ultimate enemy: herself.

Standing alone in the Airport parking lot, all Ohno could do was wait and hope that Keira would return. So far their mission had been touch and go, but unfortunately leaning towards the down side. This mysterious figure known as Paradox had been ruining Keira’s time line for some unknown reason. But with the simple act of stopping a few terrorists, the two of them could begin to set it right. Then like a beacon of hope Keira comes running in, with what looks like joy or pride on her face, answering all of Ohno’s questions with a resounding "I'm fine." Immediately Ohno goes into a rant about how much their act saved the time line, when suddenly a plane behind them blows up in a huge ball of fire. To their dismay it was the same plane they were trying to save from the terrorists and the same plane that would seal their fate. Just as the shrapnel from the plane was falling, Ohno’s face showed clear signs of horror and disbelief as he goes into a clear rant of how that never should have happened!

“How could this happen?” he says over and over, as he tries wrapping his mind around the unbelievable. But instead of wasting time worrying about what happened, Ohno choose to deal with their future. Then after a quick warning, he informs Keira, “We need to leave now! Quickly, before your past self shows up, which I am guessing will be soon after what just happened!” It was then with little hope, he choose to look back upon Keira’s time line, looking for that one and final moment that changed her life forever, and then hopefully change it for the better. But for the first time, after looking up the vast collection of time itself, that one moment in Keira’s life….was no longer there! Something or someone had not only changed time, but removed it from history. It was so shocking to Ohno that he shouted the words, “It’s as if it is no longer there. I’m not talking about it happening or not happening, I’m talking about that entire moment where you killed has been removed from time.”

But unfortunately things were even worse, as Ohno began to explain what he could see within his visions. To put it simple, with great fear he explains, “I can no longer tell you what effects will happened to your life. For every time I try to look into your future all I can see is Paradox standing there smiling back at me!!!!” Surprisingly, for the first time ever, he saw the uncertainty in Keira’s eyes, as she remarks back “You’re telling me… that I’ve been erased. That moment—the one where I killed—it's gone from existence. Vanished.” said with each syllable weighing down her chest. But like a champion she slowly composes herself and goes on. "So this is it," she says, her voice low but steady “The timeline’s broken. And now we have to face her." Immediately the two of them knew what they must do, and instead of trying to fix temporal points in time, they needed to take the fight to her! With a resounding "Then we stop her. We stop Paradox. Whatever it takes." Keira shouts while taking a heroic pose, “You take us to her” followed with the epic, “I’m not running from this anymore.”

Truly, Ohno was inspired. Not just from her words, but how she said it. With great pride, his face takes on a happy expression as he declares, “Don’t worry, I’d be proud to take you to Paradox, in fact that will be the easiest thing to do. What she doesn’t know that by her own actions she has become a time beacon that is easy to locate.” He then closes what passes for his eyes, and looks within to see where to find her. Then with a wave of his hand a huge black pocket appears before them as he explains, “I’m not exactly sure where or even when we will arrive once we step through, but I do know it will take us to her!” With that said he makes sure he is the first to step through, as it was his way to protect Keira. But as he steps out the other side he his shocked by what he sees. Standing on what was one of the busiest streets in Keira’s city, the place now looks rundown. Garbage is littering the street as there are no lights in any window. In fact there appears to be no electricity anywhere. In fact the buildings themselves seemed decayed and crumbling.

However, in the far distance was a castle of epic proportions, built from what could only be assumed slave labor, with two giant statues standing before it. The first, and larger one, was that of Paradox, standing tall as their leader. But to his dismay, the second statue was that of Keira wearing a darker outfit than her regular one, standing with her arm around Paradox’s shoulder. Suddenly Keira steps out of the pocket and at the moment she arrives, the people around take notice. Dressed in rags the people normally walked with their heads down, almost afraid to look up. But at the moment they see Keira their emotions changed. For now they had nothing but contempt, almost pure anger as one even hurls a brick at her. “What do you want from us now?” one of the people shouts, “You have already taken all we have.” It was then they looked as if they were prepared to die, as if they knew for a fact that Keira was about to kill them, but still had nothing else to lose. Either way Ohno leaned in closer to Keira only to whisper in her ear,I don’t know about you, but this is a first for me?!?!”

@ohno:

Keira stands frozen, her eyes scanning the desolate, decaying landscape before her. The once-vibrant city now looks like a shadow of its former self, with crumbling buildings, littered streets, and a palpable sense of despair hanging in the air. Her heart sinks as she absorbs the sight of the massive castle in the distance, its oppressive presence casting a long shadow over the broken remnants of what was once a bustling city. The statues—one of Paradox, the other of herself—make her stomach churn. The Keira in the statue wears a dark, twisted version of her usual attire, an image of herself standing alongside Paradox, her arm draped across him as if she were his partner, his equal. The idea is enough to make her feel physically ill.

As she steps out of the portal, she instinctively lifts her chin, a deep unease gnawing at her. The ragged people around her glance up, their eyes filled with a hatred that cuts through her. Their faces twist in anger, and a brick flies through the air, hitting the ground near her feet. One man’s voice rings out above the rest, filled with venom and accusation: “What do you want from us now? You have already taken all we have.”

The words hit her like a punch to the gut. She doesn’t know how, or even why, but the very thought that she—she—could have become someone so vile, so unrecognizable, fills her with disgust. This isn’t her world. This isn’t her. How did it all go so wrong? The realization sends a shiver of horror through her; this is what Paradox’s twisted version of her could become, and she hates every part of it.

Her muscles tense, but instead of unleashing her overwhelming power on the people who stand before her, she takes a deep breath, holding herself back. She feels their fear, their anger, their hatred. She should be enraged, too, but all she feels is shame. How could she have ever turned into someone who would cause this kind of pain? How could she have stood by and allowed herself to become an instrument of destruction in this twisted reality? The guilt gnaws at her like a relentless force.

Keira’s voice is a strained whisper when she responds to Ohno’s comment, though her gaze never leaves the angry crowd around her. “I… I never wanted this. Not this. I don’t know who I’ve become in this world, but I can feel it… It’s not me. This—” She gestures toward the people, the crumbling city, the statues of her twisted image. “This is not me.”

Her hands tremble as she struggles to control the surge of emotions threatening to overwhelm her. The anger from the people is deafening, yet their fury is understandable. Keira clenches her fists at her sides, pushing down the urge to run, to flee, to hide from the horrible reality she now faces.

“This can’t be the future. It can’t be. I have to fix this,” she mutters, more to herself than to anyone else. The weight of the responsibility to set things right presses down on her, but it feels like an impossible task. Even so, she knows she cannot allow this version of herself to exist—she won’t let it. She can’t.

Stepping forward, she tries to meet the eyes of the people, hoping to convey some sense of remorse, but she knows it will never be enough. She knows the damage has been done. And yet, she must try. She must fix this—whatever it takes.

@knight101:

From the moment Ohno stepped out of his pocket, he could tell nothing seemed right. The sky was darker, the buildings decayed, and the people seemed broken and without hope. Dressed in rags they walked the street without purpose, keeping their heads down in fear. But at the moment Keira stepped out of the pocket it all changed. Undeniable rage filled their hearts, and although they had no hope, one of them through a brick at her while the rest yelled “What do you want from us now? You have already taken all we have.” Immediately Ohno could see Keira’s heart break as she began putting the pieces together. Almost crying in pain as she realized that a version of her had become a ruler and not a protector. But as it was all new to Ohno he just had to say, I don’t know about you, but this is a first for me?!?!” It was then with a sullen tone she answered back, “I… I never wanted this. Not this. I don’t know who I’ve become in this world, but I can feel it… It’s not me. This— This is not me.”

By now the crowd was arming themselves, picking up anything they could use as a weapon, and although in their minds they did not stand a chance, they still prepared to fight. But with a sigh and an emotional plea, even as the crowd moved forward, all Keira could say was “This can’t be the future. It can’t be. I have to fix this,” It was then just as Keira was about to act, a lone figure comes hobbling out from the crowd with a cane in one hand and a hood covering her face. She then shouts so that the crowd could hear her, “No! Stop! This is not The Persecutor, this is a good woman.” Soon enough the crowd backs down and the old lady continues to move forward, until she is face to face with Paragon. She then slowly removes her hood to reveal her face, and although it is aged and scarred, it is a face Keira should remember. Immediately the old woman breaks down and cries, but with tears of joy, as she moves to place her hand upon Keira’s cheek, then with overwhelming joy, she says through her tears,“I just knew someday you would return to save us!”

At some point the old lady may have even used Keira’s real name, but for the crowd she introduces her as Paragon. “Look at her!” the old lady says, as she waves her cane around, trying to rally the crowd in her favor, “Look at her clothes. Notice her age! This is not The Persecutor.” She then begins to speak from the heart, and immediately the crowd listens. “Remember from the old days, before the purge, when The Persecutor was Paragon..(she chokes up) well this is her!” She then falls to Keira’s knees and pleads, “I don’t know how you have returned, but I know you are here to save us!!” Immediately the crowd goes silent, as they try to wrap their minds around the old woman’s words, as they begin mumbling among themselves. Some are whispering “Could it be true?” as others grunt, “Maybe this is a trap!” But the most important thing is, for most of them, they see hope, a feeling they have not had within years!

But before anyone else could say a word, something was stirring from the castle far off in the distance. A dozen or so winged guards flew forth from it and were quickly heading towards Keira, Ohno and the townsfolk. Ungodly beasts, created from who knows what, were Paradox’s soldiers and are occasionally sent out to collect tithing, or worse to incite fear. But for whatever reason they were quickly closing in. Immediately the crowd began to scatter fast, heading into the nearest building. Anything to avoid their Master’s guards. But at the same time the old crippled lady that knew Keira, quickly moves to grab Keira and Ohno by the arms and proceeds to pull them to cover. “Please, come with me,” she looks around in fear, “We need to hide you both before Lord Paradox learns you are here.” Again she proceeds to pull on the heroes vigorously as she pleads, “You may be our only hope!!”
