The cold smoothness of onyx permeated throughout the entirety of the cavern and within each crevies was a small shimmer of purple, reflecting the gemstones hidden underneath. Each step I had taken during my arduous journey had lead me here: from the far lands of Faerun, through the miserable caves of the Underdark, and even through the Sands of the Red Drakes. My feet were covered in broils from the weeks of walking upon end, to lead me to this moment.

As I traversed through, I could feel greed swell within my belly as a snake upon prey., 'I was the first one here in over a millenia. Would it be wrong for me to not pry back the black stone hiding away such precious stones? Am I not entitled to to take what I sought after after such a long journey?', the thoughts simmered in my head, trying to tempt me into action.

Yet, I cannot. I will not deface this holiest of sites. For I am the guest and the gems are my most welcoming of hosts. My transversal becomes a descent into a darker cavern, of which the gems still twinkle. As if they hosted an innate light within and not vessals if reflection. Admittedly, fear did take hold. The unknown depths of the darkness dwarfed my very certain siz e and the twinkles appeared more like thousand of stars and eyes watching me. I do not return their gaze.

I do not have light nor torch to guide me. Relying on touch and a silent sense to guide my foot's path. Up to this point, the carvern's decent has been a natural slope headed downwards and the walls around me served as my guardrails, until I pressed against where I assumed would have been a wall. Only to find nothing, threatening to knock over into uncertain oblivion. However, I reeled my self in, not wanting to test the depths of a potential fall and continued to press onwards. I found my feet hitting carved stone, which would have raised suspcion but it felt oddly right. So I continued.

Down the stairs, into the darkness. Until, finally something caught my eye. A glowing mystical purple in the darkness in the distance. With shadows within it I could not make out. That was the quest. That was where I needed to be. So I continued walking, my gaze turned over to the shimmering destination as I descended until my foot hit gravel and loose stone.

I was now level with the center of light, albiet a little of ways away. I could see it a bit better, yet shadows partially covered it still. All I need to do now was walk. As I did, my subtle fears and guilty vanished, so too did the small human voice that protested as I saw what was covering the source:

People. Humans that were made into beautiful amythests as they covered the source of light, a dragon egg made of purple gems stones. They embraced it beautifully, a family covering its young and I soon am going to join them. My ego rallies up in protest, telling me that I should run and leave this place. Yet, this is where I deserve to be. For if my flesh is not loved, then I will use it to love.

I wrap my arms around the egg, joining my brethern in holy embrace. I feel bliss and only joy. The ameythsts have made me like them, a host in a sacred temple. A gem amongst the others.

You don't need practice, that was really good.

A few spelling errors, but everyone could be guilty of that!
