Manipulation of ice can produce ice missiles, snow, blasts of extreme cold, rain with temperatures below freezing, as well as generate weapons and walls of ice out of the moisture in the air.

Superpower:

By force of will Chiller Killer can upgrade his power and transform himself into a massive Ice Beast. In this form his strength, speed and durability are raised to gigantic proportions

HISTORY

Charles

Surprisingly enough Charles' life was productive before his accident. He was a strait A student, a leader in the Boy Scout Troupe and part of the local towns improvement squad. His father was a Lt Governor and his mother was a leading partner in a Law Firm. Charles was just about every kids best friend and every girls desire. But Charles never let that go to his head. Even though he was his High School quarterback and MVP he still played for the team and not himself. His life was perfect and he was destined for greatness.

But all that changed one freezing Winter. Charles was celebrating his eighteenth birthday as only he could. It was at a frozen lake, where he and all his friends could ice skate to their hearts delight. Charles never cared for a flashy or over the top party he just wanted to have all his close friends around and what better place than a giant lake. Still Charles did have one bad habit. He couldn't resist showing off, just a bit, for the ladies. This time he wanted to make a breathtaking jump over a larger portion of the lake.

Trapped Under Ice

Charles had made jumps like this one hundreds of times before, in fact he had made larger ones. But something went wrong this time. His launch and execution was flawless but when he hit the ground landing...the ice broke! Immediately Charles fell in to below freezing water, his screams for help echoed through out the ears of the party guests. In a state of panic the adults reacted, some tried to rescue Charles while others were calling for help. Finally after three minutes of chaos Charles was saved.

Charles arrive at the hospital an hour later in a frozen state of hibernation. His heart rate and pulse had dropped so low some doctors thought he was dead. But after hours of tests and observation the doctors diagnosed he was only brain dead in a coma. The doctors suggested pulling the plug but his parents disagreed. They were both wealthy in their own rights and together they had enough money to keep Charles on life support indefinitely. So for the next ten years Charles lived in a small room, a vegetable attached to a variety of machines.

Life Support

During those ten long years several things took place. On the outside, while his body aged normally, Charles laid motionless. However on the inside something drastically changed. Unknown to anyone Charles was a meta-human, meaning he had the potential to become a super power. Somehow the minutes dying in the freezing water activated it and slowly his body was adapting. Every few months his body temperature would drop and the room he was in would turn cold. Unaware of this the staff would respond with blankets and more heaters. But the worst fact about it was that during those ten years Charles was self aware.

Another side effect of the freezing cold was that part of his brain was destroyed, permanently. It was the part that controlled the compassionate side of humanity. Because of this Charles lost his love, his caring, and everything that kept a man good inside. Instead he was now a cold and calculating being who only thought of himself and his own desires. He was also enraged. Those changes in the rooms temperature was Charles way of screaming to the world he was alive and in pain. What the staff didn't know was that by increasing the heat they were increasing his pain exponentially.

For the years Charles lived in that bed, he only saw the world around him as evil. To him the staff went out of there way to hurt him with heat and it only made him madder. By making him madder it made him stronger. This was the recurring cycle in his head. Then one cold day in December a snow storm hit the town. Once again the weather dropped well below freezing and the wind blew a heavy breeze. In one freak occurrence the wind hit the window of Charles' room smashing it to pieces. In seconds his room was turned into an ice cube and for once Charles felt at piece. The cold began to rejuvenate his body and he was quickly healing. For the first time in years his body was cold enough to fight back.

Waking Up

Charles awoke from his coma and jumped out of his bed. He was determined not to be warmed by the staff and was willing to do what ever it took to stop them. As the doctors came into examine Charles he retaliated with his newly developed powers. With a simple gesture of his hand, large shards of ice flew across the room impaling the staff through vital organs. But Charles was not finished there. He wanted the staff to suffer more for all the pain they inflicted on him. This time Charles raised his hand at the survivors and launched a chilling blast of ice that froze them solid in seconds. Then in an act of pure cruelty he smashed the cubes shattering the people inside into pieces.

By now alarms where ringing and security was on it's way. Charles knew there was nothing they could do to stop him, but he also knew the wiser course would be to flee. Instead Charles focused all his new found abilities upon himself and began to change his form. Layers of ice began covering his body, part from his surroundings others from his insides. The effect was, he was growing larger and stronger until he now stood tall like an Abominable Snowman. With his strength now increased several fold he smashed a hole in the hospital wall and jumped out a ten story leap. He was now free from the pain and able to do what he wished. With God like powers and a distorted view of humanity Charles wreaked havoc upon the town. His goal was to follow the cold storm and nothing was going to stop him. Behind him he left three things. Devastation, a reputation as Chiller Killer, and of course, Humanity!
