So Scary 7- The Thing from the Well
These days, Sharon had been working hard enough to bring water to the old England town. In fact, she had to come all the way out here, so that she could use it to take a bath, and cook food at home. Apparently, her parents were already tired to come to the old well. So, they sent their only daughter to get water. But certain townsfolk claimed that the well was haunted. Sharon never believed in such tales. It was only meant to scare young girls like her, and probably boys as well. But for Sharon, she wasn't afraid of anything.
When she came back home, her little brother asked her, "Did you see it?" At first, Sharon didn't know what he was talking about. Then, she realized of what the townsfolk said about the well. She said, "No, I haven't seen it. And I don't know what you mean by that."
The kid shook his head. "You should look closer, Sharon. One time, me and my friends have done it. It had red eyes, which stares back at you. We were so scared that we ran off, and never came back again."
Sharon's father have heard the story while he just sat there, making wooden toys on the table. And not to mention, he laughed at it. The kid named Brandon said, "It's true, Papa! There's a thing down there. I have seen it!" The mother shook her head, while she boiled some vegetables. Sharon felt tired already, and she needed a hot bath.

Dinner was ready for the family. Not that, they had any trouble living in a town like this. But Sharon was old enough to bring water from the well, since her parents were too busy doing other things. Often times, she wondered if there was really a thing, living down there. For that reason, she couldn't sleep well at night. She looked at the full moon, and decided to check it out herself.
Of course, the well seemed such a long way to travel from her hometown. But the tall girl didn't mind. She had been doing this trip all the time. And she needed some fresh air. She walked slowly, so that she couldn't disturb the others while sleeping. Then, she walked out.
Along the way, she could hear some screeching owls in the forest. The thought of going to the well alone, turned out to be a bad idea, especially in this time of night. But she needed to know if the thing was really there. Suppose if it was there, what then? Some people may not able to believe in such tales. One time, a man came here to bring some water, and then he never came back. That's when the rumors started about the thing from the well.
The girl finally reached it, and looked down upon the water. There was nothing there. Just out of curiosity, she just said, "Hello?" The echo reached towards her ears. Still, nothing. She kinda laughed at herself, wondering that this trip have turned out to be a waste of time. She could have done this the next time that she brought water to her home. But now that she was here, it was too late. She did saw something, moving around the water. And those eyes... There were the color of red, just like his brother had mentioned.
Sharon screamed, and found herself on the bed. She realized that it was just a nightmare. Nothing more than that. All those stories needed to be stopped telling in this town. But what can she do about it? Nothing. She checked to see if the others have woken up, due to her screaming. But they haven't. She went back to sleep.

The next day, Sharon began to have a high fever. Luckily, she didn't have to go back to that damn well. She knew from the bottom of her heart that she was really scared of it. And maybe, the thing was really down there after all. But who knew? Maybe she didn't want to find out. She was already curious enough to know such things.
So, her father have ventured out to the open forest, and got some water from the well. But he never came back. The family got so worried that some of the townees have volunteered to search for him. It took days, and then weeks. There was no luck, finding him. But Sharon knew what happened to her father, and said nothing.
