E	Aliens, Apes, and Awesomeness All Around!

Intro:
In 2021, Gwandanaland held a contest for a cross-genre story. There had to be at least two characters, each plucked from a different genre, and the story had to fit on two pages, like the text stories that used to be in old comics. Let me tell you: two pages ain't much! I went Jungle + Western + Sci-Fi/Hero. I'm happy enough with the outcome, but it's more of a story intro than a full story. Below is the full story. It was formatted into the two pages with pics by Lance Jones- the head of Gwandanaland Comics. I added the byline and the date it was originally written to it (the entries were voted on, so Lance left the bylines out to make it a choice based only on the stories; I came in fourth). The Origins Behind the Origins (or how some of these characters got their names):

King Inkawu

"Inkawu" means "monkey" in a couple of different languages. I just needed a gorilla name, so I looked that up. Altho' I came really close to naming him Harambe just to be topical. I decided against it as it's already getting to be a dated reference.

Everything Else

Everything else named in the story was pulled straight out of the public domain! And the intelligent gorillas of Ato predate Planet of the Apes by nearly 30 years! I love this stuff! :)

Thanks. As noted, the contest was for a two-page story, and I barely managed to keep it at that. I don't think I really want to continue this one, but I do want to make use of the characters again. Super-American already features strongly in my original fic superhero universe, but I definitely want to use the alien beasts, Gunmaster & Bullet, Power Nelson, Purple Claw, and probably Inkawu again. Exactly as they're seen here? Probably not, but we'll see. :)
