Artist Show-Off Showdown #51: Marvel Wants You – Welcome to the Next Phase!

Imaginary, Fictitious Scenario:

The House of Ideas in its infinite wisdom has tapped the myriad creative minds here at Comicvine and given us license to help build the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by filling the final roster spot for a character to be featured in an upcoming blockbuster movie. Opportunities like this never happen, so let’s get to it!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

1. Create an original character to be introduced and featured in the MCU. Yes, twins/triplets/etc., are welcome. (Feel free to dust off/refresh/update any old creations that you have in your sketchbooks.)

- or -

2. Draw any existing character that you’d like to see appear in an MCU movie. The character can be from Marvel, DC, public domain, or any entertainment media company that has ever existed. (Yes, anime, cartoon, comic strip characters, etc., are acceptable.)

Im not particularly fond of the MCU especially currently but what the heck, here's my pitch:

THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO from the 80s tv show.

Character Name: Eli Sparks aka Paragon

He's kind of a mix between Green Lantern, Blue Beetle and The Sentry.

Origin Story:

Eli Sparks was an ordinary young scientist, fascinated by the cosmos and constantly studying the stars. One fateful night while stargazing in a remote desert, he witnessed a spacecraft crash-landing nearby. Rushing to the scene, he discovered a severely injured alien named Xelora, who was being hunted by a dangerous intergalactic warlord. With no hesitation, Eli used his scientific knowledge and sheer bravery to save Xelora from certain death, fighting off the warlord's forces. Grateful, Xelora gifted Eli an ancient, sentient alien artifact called The Shard of Eos, a source of unimaginable cosmic power.

I know that Dagger had a TV series, but I would love to see her in a major MCU production. Here's my quick sketch of Tandy.
